COORDINATORS

Terry Brown

BSc, B.Ed

With over 30 years as a senior instructor for hockey camps across Ontario, the Arctic and the US, Terry has the skills to improve your player's game. Terry will work closely with your player to improve their hockey skills and build confidence in the game.


Jamie Patenall

OCT

Playing for the Kitchener Rangers, Waterloo Siskins, Mid-Western Jr. B, Wilfrid Laurier University Varsity and the ECHL's Toledo Storm, Jamie's vast hockey experience has given him a unique knowledge of the game. Jamie has been a head instructor for Kitchener and Wilfrid Laurier University hockey schools which allows him to plan and run a hockey camp that fosters skill development for your player.

SENIOR ON-ICE INSTRUCTORS

Ted Brown

BA, B.Ed

Ted's love of the game was clear during his time on the Guelph University Varsity Hockey team, being rookie of the year and captain. His love of the game continues through his head coaching position for the London Devilettes Junior Women's Team and Real Edge Hockey Camp. Holding an International Coaching Certificate, Ted coached 3 provincial champion teams as well as the U14 Girls World Team to a silver medal in Helsinki, Finland. 

angelo tsarouhas

B.COMM, B.Ed

Being a certified Development Competitive Stream Coach in addition to a certified community coach, Angelo's passion is in coaching young players and seeing their skills develop to the next level. Angelo's coaching career has included senior instructor at hockey camps, 15+ years with community and high school sports, 5 years of AA hockey.

mark dolton

BPHE, B.Ed

A 25-year veteran of teaching and coaching at Trenton High School, Mark is a firm believer in the multi-sport athlete. His extensive coaching experience includes OFSAA champion rugby teams, hockey teams from tyke to midget, representative soccer at both the L5 and L3 levels and as a senior instructor at hockey camps. Mark wants to help every player learn to play the game, improve their skills and enjoy a sense of accomplishment.

SKILL SPECIFIC INSTRUCTORS

Madeline Patenall

POWER SKATING

As the 2019-2020 MVP and current Captain of Wilfrid Laurier University Figure Skating, Madeline began her skating career locally. With many career achievements and training under Olympic-level coaches, Madeline will assist your player to increase their speed, power, and agility.

John Mackinnon

GOALIE INSTRUCTOR

John played goal for the Oshawa Legionnaires and the Pembroke Lumber Kings. He has worked as a goalie instructor for several camps including Graham Townsend Hockey Camp in Portland Maine  and the Orillia Terriers Camp. Plus he has done goalie clinics for TMHA.

RECREATION INSTRUCTORS

Tim Larry

BPHE, B.Ed

Tim has a long-standing career in athletics in the community. As a teacher and track coach at East Northumberland Secondary School for thirty-one years, while also being an OFSAA Sport Coordinator and Convenor, Tim has the expertise and experience in assisting your player with their fitness goals that improve their game on the ice. Tim has knowledge of sport-specific off-ice training as he has held the position of head off-ice instructor for the Brighton Braves and the Jack Porter Hockey Schools.

scott Hoogkamp

BPHE, B.Ed, M.Ed


Scott is a Physical Education teacher who combines his professional knowledge with a wealth of previous playing experience in every aspect of training. Having been an instructor at hockey camps for multiple years, Scott brings a strong background in fitness and fun to the Real Edge Program. Scott focus lies within developing players both on and off the ice. Within the Quinte region, Scott coaches a variety of sports and is excited to be getting back to his passion.
